In 1999, Emerson Climate Technologies (ECT) (Sidney, Ohio) was a $1 billion dollar company with nine domestic locations. Less than a decade later, it has tripled its revenue and number of locations, including several international sites, making it the world's leading provider of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration solutions for residential, industrial and commercial applications. Despite this growth, ECT’s accounts payable (AP) department still has the same number of clerks it did in 1999, thanks to efficiencies realized through OnBase. Without a management mandate to adopt the technology, the use of OnBase has organically grown to include 900 users around the world. ECT has currently has 20 million documents stored in its OnBase repository and is adding documents at a rate of about 2.5 million documents per year.
