Converting to OnBase: A Customer’s Story

Dallas-based Glazer’s made the switch from LibertyNet to OnBase. Glazer’s is one of the nation’s largest distributors of wine, spirits and malt products. 

LibertyNet handled Glazer’s needs, but it was departmental. The company wanted an enterprise solution that would support innovation and grow with the organization. 

The challenge? Each of Glazer’s corporate and branch offices hosted a separate document management system. With multiple systems to maintain, there was no easy way to share documents across locations, making tracking revisions difficult. In addition, making changes and improvements to these systems was demanding.

Upgrading to OnBase meant having one system to maintain, eliminating the need for multiple system upkeep and allowing the company to focus on business process improvements. 

It also meant storing documents in one central location, allowing staff to quickly find and access the information they need, when they need it.

But Glazer’s doesn’t use OnBase just for document retrieval. It uses automated workflows in the field to help it track shipments and simplify communication between its warehouse staff and accounting department.
