After starting with OnBase enterprise content management (ECM) in its services department, ArjoHuntleigh quickly realised other areas were ripe for document management and process automation – including accounts receivable.
Accounts receivable were using a paper-based process,” says Shane Bruce, IT Officer – Systems and Development. “They would print out invoices, credit notes, statements and most of the time, these would be manually posted off to customers. Occasionally some would be scanned and emailed, but it was still a manual process. The decision was made to take those documents and convert them to an electronic form.”
With OnBase Capture and Workflow, the AR department now handles AR documents, such as invoices and statements, electronically. This allows them to much more easily communicate with customers electronically. In addition, it makes it easier to identify and find missing information. These improvements means the department speeds communication with customers.
