CLEVELAND – December 3, 2013 – To support the high level of care that Cheyenne Regional Medical Center promises patients, it needed a more efficient way to access critical information from seven disparate IT systems. The 220-bed hospital located in Cheyenne, Wyoming, needed a standardized way to manage more than 10.5 million documents into a single, integrated platform. Using the OnBase enterprise content management (ECM) solution, staff members consolidated all patient information into a single system and integrated it with its Epic EMR, supporting clinicians’ decision making and saving clinical time and IT resources.
Cheyenne’s multi-system conversion was aggressive but Hyland’s in-house conversion services team helped the healthcare provider achieve its goal. Within seven months, Cheyenne converted all patient information and data from seven legacy systems, including McKesson Horizon Patient Folder, NextGEN, e-MDs DocMan, LeonardoMD and the GE Centricity EMR.
