HomeStreet Bank Moves to OnBase

CLEVELAND – June 5, 2012 – Efficiency is key, especially in the financial services industry where paper is a major barrier to growth, slows down business and increases costs. HomeStreet Bank of Seattle, Washington, wanted to grow their business while maintaining excellent customer service. One of the largest community banks in the state with over $2 billion in assets, HomeStreet needed to expedite its paper-intensive lending processes and take its document management strategy to the next level.

Converting to Hyland Software’s enterprise content management (ECM) solution, OnBase, will give HomeStreet the ability to easily manage their documents instead of just storing them. With OnBase, HomeStreet can version documents, keep a record of who is making changes and then archive those documents.

“The ability to electronically manage documents and provide a clean audit trail is significant for us,” said Mark Gregory, chief information officer at HomeStreet. “Document management and efficiency is vital, and OnBase will make our processes easier.”

HomeStreet was also looking for a product that could be easily implemented and offered simple and functional use for end users. It was also crucial that the ECM technology could grow with the organization. “We like that OnBase can work in departments across our organization. Interest in using the product is high and I envision a much broader use of OnBase in the near future,” said Gregory.
