I discovered that Sharp already owned OnBase. They had purchased it in 1999, but never implemented it. Even though we still had OnBase as a software license, we decided to go ahead with our RFP. We selected six document imaging vendors and after site visits and a very rigorous review of each of the proposals, we selected OnBase. So, we selected OnBase twice!
OnBase has been deployed across the enterprise:
- Front-office scanning
- Patient registration
- Health information management
- Pharmacy medications
- Human resources
Our human resources departments scan in their records directly and have access at their fingertips. And, I can tell you, I've seen a lot of other document imaging systems and only OnBase is easily scalable and easily configurable and supportable. With Hyland as a partner with us, it's been an incredible journey and we're really looking forward to the next 10 years.
