Centric Consulting's Matt Dierker shares how Centric uses OnBase to help its clients transform their business

Matt Dierker, VP, Centric Consulting: Centric’s core purpose is to deliver unmatched employee and customer experiences. That’s realized in a lot of different ways. Fundamentally it’s always doing the best work you possibly can for the clients, and 95 percent of what we do is all about client service, everyday, just being effective in that delivery and flawless in that delivery whenever possible.

Centric is making a number of different types of investments when it comes to building out our OnBase practice. The one that comes to mind first is training people, whether that’s formal training through Hyland and going to classes such as Install and Configuration and Integration training, or ancillary training where we’re taking examples of client work we’ve done and building out solutions directly within the OnBase platform to test our skills. And to also start building out actual solutions we think can be used down the road for our clients.

A lot of our clients in the insurance industry are looking at their core systems right now and looking at ways they can replace them and upgrade those. Insurance companies have traditionally gone a long period of time trying to make the most out of the assets that they have. A lot of the functionality that’s now being released relative to billing, claims administration and policy admin, are providing a lot more functionality these days. Companies are looking to make big investments there. We, likewise, are making investments in our understanding and our ability to help clients implement their systems.

Our customers have needs across the board that I think OnBase would be a good solution for. We mentioned before core systems replacements that many of our customers are going through. However, there are a lot of ancillary processes and activities that really need to be managed, whether they’re related to compliance or any other process automation or document management need that’s out there that may be separate from the core systems that relate to claims, billing and policy administration.
